Rookie Of The Year Goes Back Down To A Solo Project

Mike Kamerman, now a former band member of Rookie Of The Year has announced that he will no longer be a member of the band, but will continue to pursue into the world of music.

Kamerman will now be teaming up with his cousin, Daniel, piano player of SILYW, in a new project. He hopes that you will follow him on his twitter to keep yourselves updated on his progress after having left Rookie Of The Year.

And yes, Kamerman even announced himself that he believes Rookie Of The Year will go back to being the one-man-band solo project it was originally.

Here is the original message
Kamerman posted up in a blog on the official Rookie Of The Year MySpace:

“Hello friends! As some of you may or may not know,  I’ve recently decided to leave the band I’ve dedicated my life to for the past 5 years, Rookie of the Year.  It was something I had been thinking about doing for a long time now, but just didn’t have it in me to let go yet.  Over the past few months it became clear that leaving would be the right decision.  There are certain relationships that just can’t work and I had been stuck in one for a long time, trying to make it work. I’ve had some of the most amazing times in this band and I loved the music we created. haha Sweet Attention wasn’t the best, but was definitely not as bad as most of you made it out to be!  Anyways, I think everyone else who had been playing in “Rookie” are leaving as well and the band will become a solo project again.  As for me, I moved back home to NJ.  I’m going to go back to college taking online courses, maybe start boxing for fun and be an overprotective older brother for a bit.  MOST IMPORTANTLY!! I’ll be starting a new project with my cousin Daniel (piano player on SILYW) and some other great musicians,  I’m  hoping to get this thing off of the ground within the next month or so, so stay tuned and follow me on twitter if you want. (twitter.com/mikeoftheyear)  This future will be bright. Thank you for reading this and thank you for the great times!” – Mike Kamerman, ex-member of Rookie Of The Year
