Jamison Covington (JamisonParker, E for Explosion) and Chad Sugg (Backseat Goodbye) have formed a new band called Skywalker. We are currently reaching out to the band to see when music can be expected, so stay tuned.

The All American Rejects have just launched their brand new layout of their official website, www.allamericanrejects.com. Fans can explore the new site for everything Rejects from their past albums and up to date information. Along, with the site premiere, the band has now released their first album teaser called, “Talking to the Water,” a cinematic, black and white clip for their upcoming fourth studio album due in Spring 2012. Frontman Tyson Ritter narrates the video, which includes scenes of him on the beach and inside the studio with a full orchestra.

The band recently released a YouTube video for upcoming album track, “Someday’s Gone,” which was shot in one take by director Jon Danovic. The All American Rejects called the video an early candy cane for their fans and “hope it bites you and gives you a mark.”

Long beloved metal band from Outer Space suffered a tragic loss these past few weeks and have been awaiting the results of their friend Corey Smoot also known as “Flattus Maximus” autopsy after finding him dead in his bunk while on tour.

“We have finalized the autopsy report and death certificate. I have determined that Cory died from a coronary artery thrombosis brought about by his pre-existing coronary artery disease.” -The Coroner William Masselo, MD.

This unfortunate loss has not only taken a toll on metal fans worldwide but his family back as well as his wife is bearing his unborn child.

GWAR is also holding a benefit concert as well, it will be held in Richmond,VA in January.

The latest in the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame have been announced, this list includes such great acts like the Beastie Boys, Guns N’ Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers (long overdue), Donovan, Laura Nyro, and the Small Faces/the Faces.

Other nominees include the Cure, Eric B. and Rakim, Joan Jett, Donna Summer, Heart, Rufus with Chaka Khan, War, and the Spinners.

These great artists will accept their honors on April 14th in Cleveland, Ohio. The following month of May, HBO will air the ceremony. Check your local listings for when you can catch all the action!

You heard about um’ here on TheInterlude first and now we have some huge news.  Indiana’s own Dismiss The Serpent has signed to Matchless Records.  The staff at TheInterlude.com want to congratulate the guys and wish them the best of luck, they have earned it.  The band has released a new song titled The Renounced.  The bands debut record for Matchless Records titled Renounced will drop sometime in the summer of 2012.  Check out the bands new song below, and go show them some love on their Facebook.
