BAD CITY TO SPEND SUMMER 2010 ON THE ROAD
Atlantic recording group Bad City has announced details of their upcoming US tour. The Chicago-based rock outfit — whose debut album, “WELCOME TO THE WASTELAND,” arrives everywhere on August 24th and is currently available for pre-order at their webstore, http://store.badcitymusic.com/ – will join Hinder for a string of dates on their eagerly anticipated North American headline tour.
With its pounding drums, soaring guitars, and stadium size choruses, “WELCOME TO THE WASTELAND” aims to revive the over the top spirit of classic rock ‘n’ roll, while maintaining an attitude and philosophy all its own. “The point isn’t to be retro, it’s to embody the spirit of what rock ‘n’ roll bands used to be like before things got so boring and safe,” noted guitarist Tom Schleiter. Produced by Grammy Award-nominee Johnny K (Staind, Sevendust, 3 Doors Down), The album offers powerful cuts like the gritty anthem “Wildlife” and the swaggering focus track “Take Me For A Ride.” Both can currently be heard at the band’s www.myspace.com/badcitymusic as well as their own YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/badcity.
